It’s important for the fuel in your vehicle to be as clean as possible. If there are dirt particles, water or other contaminants in the fuel, they may

block some of the openings and passages in the carburetor or fuel injection system. To protect the fuel injection system, fuel filters are installed

along the fuel line between the fuel pump and the carburetor or fuel injector.

Fuel filters can become contaminated and clogged over time. This condition can restrict the flow of fuel to the carburetor or fuel injectors, causing

performance issues.
